A :       Yes. All products are created in minimum quantities depending on the type. Each specification sheet on the product page details  the  minimum quantities that apply.

A:        Delivery schedules, times and frequency are agreed at the time of opening an account. Delivery schedules depend on location and volume.

Q:        What standards does Brown Sugar work to in Food Safety Terms?
A:        Brown Sugar Bakery is accredited to CMI GOLD Standard and works in conjunction with the BRC Food Standards across many disciplines of the business.

Q:        Can I come to the Brown Sugar Bakery factory to collect my bread  instead of having it delivered?
A:        Customers who wish to collect their bread may do so with prior arrangement.

Q:        Do Brown Sugar Bakery sell Fresh and Frozen Bread?
A:        Brown Sugar Bakery is a wholesale bakery that produces both Fresh and Frozen products. Please refer to the Product Page for details of which Core Products are available.

Q:        Do I need an account to purchase Brown Sugar Bread?
A:        Brown Sugar is a wholesale Bakery and customer will require an account to purchase products.

Q:        How long will Prices from Brown Sugar Bakery be valid?
A:        Prices are specific to an agreement between Brown Sugar and the Customer or Distribution Partner and are set based on key criteria established at the beginning of the contractual
           relationship.Brown Sugar will ordinarily review prices on a six monthly basis.

Q:        Are price discounts available for large volumes or high annual spend?
A:        Retrospective rebates may be considered for annual spend in excess of £250,000

Q:        How do I order my Bread from Brown Sugar?
A:        Orders will only be processed if a Customer/Distribution Partner has a Valid Flexibake issued Customer Account Number and is  under their agreed credit limit. All Customers will be expected
            to complete and submit a Brown Sugar Account Opening Form.Credit limits will be set at the point of Account opening and all customers will be informed of the limit
            when the customer/distribution username and password.

Q:        Can I request samples of your products?
A:        Free “end use customer” mixed bread sample boxes are available for product comparison purposes. The sample boxes should be ordered alongside an existing order in the normal way.

Q:        Do you products clearly identify all ingredients on the label?
A:        All labels on all products meet the standard legislation for labeling and detail all products accordingly. An example   can be found on the information page.

Q:        How will I be invoiced by Brown Sugar Bakery?
A:        Invoices will be raised on a monthly basis created from delivery  notifications as created by the Flexibake orders. All invoices will be emailed to a designated email address.
           Statements will be issued monthly.

Q:        What are the Brown Sugar Bakery Payment Terms?
A:        Payment is strictly a maximum of 30 days following the end of the week in which the goods were delivered. If these terms are not met all bread deliveries will be stopped until payment has
           been made in full or repayment has been arranged and Brown Sugar reserve the right to charge interest on outstanding balances at the current market rate of interest.

Q:        What is the latest time we can place orders for Bread?
A:        All orders must be placed by 15.00 hrs. daily.

Q:        Who do I contact if my bread arrives damaged?

Q:        How do we get information about the product specification for a Brown Sugar Product?
A:        All Core Products are available as specifications on the Product  Page   to either view online or download as pdf files.

Q:        How can I get information about the weight of a specific product?
A:        Core product specifications available detail all relevant information including, ingredients, weight, size and description.

Q:        What is “sourdough” culture?
A:        Sourdough culture (or natural starter or levain) is a mixture of flour and water that attracts natural yeast from the air and from flour.

Q:        Does Brown Sugar sell organic products?
A:        Brown Sugar does not bake 100% organic products.

Q:        What is Fermentation?
A:        Fermentation is the preparation and preservation technique that dates  back as far as 300BC. It is a cellular process in which organic foods are converted into simpler compounds.

Q:        Why do some of the Brown Sugar products have holes in them?
A :       Small irregular air pockets in the interior of a loaf are a natural part of the artisan process.

Q:        How should I prepare my bread before serving?
A:        If it’s a Bun, split and toast it. If it’s sliced, it is ready to eat or as toast. If it’s a bake off product, follow the guidelines in the relevant Specification Sheet (as detailed on the
           Product Page) or contact your Account Manager.
